The Broomlands Primary School Building, located in Kelso, Scotland, has recently won two separate awards and is favourite for another 2019 award.
The first award in 2018 was the GIA Education Building and the second award was the 2018 Borders Design Award. The building has also been recently shortlisted for the prestigious RIAS Award for 2019.
Frenger are proud to have been selected to supply their Modula HP (high performance) Radiant Heating panels to the multi-award-winning building to provide comfortable, affordable and energy-efficient heating throughout the building.
The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) has listed Broomlands Primary School as part of the shortlist for its 2019 award. The judging panel of RIAS has said that the properties listed within the shortlist show "the ambitious level of excellence that architects and their clients can achieve". The winners of the award will be announced on the 30th May 2019.
The project has a total value of £9.7 million and has a substantial size of 2,659m2. The new school includes several facilities such as a nursery, games and dining halls, various communal areas and many multi-purpose classrooms.
"We are delighted to move into the new school, which is a wonderful facility that the children and staff have been looking forward to transferring to for some time."
Frenger's Modula range of Radiant Heating Panels are available as 'SP' (Standard Performance) and 'HP' (High Performance) and as a ceiling recessed panel or a free hanging (exposed) panel with fully welded and linished corners for superior aesthetics. The unobtrusive modular heating cassettes are manufactured in house by Frenger, here in the UK and constructed from smooth-faced Zintec steel, extruded aluminium heat exchanger pipe seats and 15mm OD copper coils that are produced in-house on Frenger's state of the art full CNC serpentine bend machine from thousand meter drums of copper to make heat exceeds coils without any joints what so ever and to safe guard against risks of leakage. Frenger can provide tube centres as close as 70mm.
